Watching TV: Wasting Time Watching People Working Hard

It's up to you to trust me or not, but I don’t have any favorite TV channel nor any program. Ah, well I like Oprah Winfrey show but the show was over. I like nanny 911, but the channel isn't clear, moreover it is shown in the afternoon where I have to work. I don’t like cinemas on TV while news is better to read.

TV Behind The Scene

I cant deny that 'The behind the Scene' always tickling my head while watching TV cinemas or program: both family cinemas or movie theater. So, tell me what's your favorite TV program? Do you ever think of how the scene was captured? How do the ideas born, set the light, make the script, actor and actress act, how many hours everyday they spend. They have life and family, but in some meaningful time such as Ramadan, Idl Fitr, New Year, even midnight, they have to present live shows, live concert etc. They worked hard you know! As the private TV station comes, they worked OVER TIME EVERYDAY to get the consumers! Even some people can take off their belief and idealism. And news program on TV. People who works in mass media has to update information every second, without holiday. They compete in getting the hottest news! They don’t mind to come to conflict area or area of disaster. But what we do? While we are just playing lazy and watching TV all day long. It is ironic that we are watching everyone's working hard.

Disregard the quality, however TV program was the real product of working hard. Don’t play lazy watching any program that worse your life. Don’t say stupid to them. However people work hard to present the program and wish that you will like it and entertained. If you don’t like the program, don’t tell them that you hate the program, but just turn off your TV. The system will let them know their program was seen or not. That will be the real disagreement, protest and priceless consideration for them to create any program.

Working in Private Seed Company

What's your consideration when you have to decide the place you will work? Everybody wish to get job in big company so that they can earn the high salary, build large network and find the life coach (hehehe). Focused on seed company, it’s a dilemmatic option. As far as I know, Indonesia owe only one big seed company who run their activities abroad, while the others belong to developed countries: Switzerland, France, USA, Netherlands, etc.

Seed company produces new variety, generates new combinations fit to national and international market. Genetic variability becomes important assets for their product. Plant as much grown in tropical region, makes Indonesia rich of plant genetic variability. As you have already known about what already happened in hundred years ago how foreigner came to Indonesian and exploit

natural resources in Indonesia. This is also happening right now: foreign investors coming to Indonesia to build private agribusiness company. They exploit our genetic resources and claim themselves as the inventor and owner of that findings.

A story from my coworker made me so much furious. I don’t know exactly when this was happened. It was the story about Indonesian student in PhD program who his research was financed by Netherland seed company that run their business in Indonesia. His research was about hot pepper exploration in Indonesia. So that the student do travelling around Indonesia to find genetic diversity. The worst thing was the whole material found was collected and claimed by the company as it belong to them: Netherlands company.

Another story from my boss, the ex-worker, Korean nationality, worked here for individual profit. He came here brought the promising and elite lines from his previous company. He was the breeder of hot pepper. He worked here for about 8 years and generated some good combinations of F1 (hybrid). But he insisted to register the lines in variety protection. The manager didn’t mind about that. But finally, when he completed his contract, he brought the all lines he has and even he tried to stole other lines from his coworker. Guess what he was going to do with those lines? Well, this part really got me mad: he built his own company in China by using the material from BISI. And after the stories happened, my company was cautious to employee from foreign.

They realize about the wealth of Indonesia. Moreover the characters of Indonesian people lead them confidents to come and build seed company in Indonesia. This really break my heart. Wondering the colonist come and exploit and hide their big laughter to my country for this carelessness and laziness. Yeah I said careless and laziness. Indonesian people ain't stupid.

Choosing seed company to work is dilemmatic. In multinational seed company, which many of them are foreign company will make our country to loss of genetic diversity but working in national company which many of them are have yet to grow great so that we find its difficult to progress and low salary. Please we need help from all part of this nation, especially from our government for the sake of Indonesia.

English to Me: How I Learn It

Dearguys, why do you chose English as your major? Or why do you choose English asthe foreign language you want to master? For you who think that English is justa tools to reach for another purpose, what makes you absolutely sure thatEnglish will be the exact tools for you to gain your purpose? And have youalready used your tool correctly?

Thesequestions tickling my mind after having discussion with some friends I met inone of English course in Pare.

I justsee them force themselves to memorize every rules in English and some tricksfor predicting the right answer.

A friendtold me that he have to mastering English as soon as possible, but he told methat he was lost of passion when learning it. He got stressed. Well, it reallybroke my heart. English is more than just language. It has the soul.

Well, wehave to learn other language. God creates us in different nations and tribes,to know each other. As spoken in Al-Qur'an 49:13

يا أيها الناس إنا خلقناكممن ذكر وأنثى وجعلناكم شعوبا وقبائل لتعارفوا إن أكرمكم عند الله أتقاكم إن اللهعليم خبير

Translation: O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of amale and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know eachother (not that ye may despise (each other). Wonder ifwe can comprehend all kind of language in this world, how many information wewill be able to receive? English as it becomes international language, can be agood beginning.

You maysay that English is s tool. For me, English is more than just a tool. To beexact, English is kind of chemical substances called catalyst. We cant deny that information takes importantpart in our progressive life. Getting to know the updated information fromevery country is important to consider what to do or not. It will come benefitfor us and for our country (our rival exactly is not people in the same nation,but the people outside Indonesia). Absolutely, it will make every process runeasier and faster.

The important part of understanding English is toovercome the problem that uses English, not the problem in English itself.

Theimportant part is you have to understand the subject more than English itself.So, I emphasize here that you have to decide thesubject of your interest that you want to understand. For example, Ichose Agriculture. I will use my English to get to know more information aboutAgriculture, especially information from developed country who provideinformation in English. This will give me more passion when I learn English.

Culture

Cultureis the thing to understand altogether with language. Culture is the art oflanguage. So, what is the art of English? For example, the soul of Javalanguage. what the translation of Good Morning in Java? "Sugeng Enjing", yeah you know that… butsaying good morning was not common habit here. That's what I mean. I preferAmerican English rather than British English or Australian English. I love theidioms. I found that America is multicultural country. People are so highself-esteem, and they have free life. People may do anything in the name offreedom.

Afterknowing my passion and what I learn English for, English becomes somethingaddictive to me. Finding the new term inEnglish will increase dopamine in my body.

Alwaysfind the reason, always find the 'because' of your 'why'.

Seed Production in PT. BISI International, Tbk.

Variety Release is regulated in Agriculture Ministry Regulation No. 38/Permentan/OT.140/7/2011. While the so-called horticulture seed, or seed is plant or part of plant which is used for plant multiplication. Here in BISI, seeds are produced through breeding program.

Firstly, the breeder got the information from Marketing Development (MD) about the product's specification: plant and the economic part. The general needs are: disease tolerance, high productivity and easy to cultivate. Sometimes MD bring the sample of seed that has large market in some areas, both in Indonesia or outside. After that, the breeder should check the germplasm stock to generate the aimed combination. They can also improve the existing product. The important thing is the new variety should be BUSS: Baru (new), Unik (unique), Seragam (uniform), and Stabil (stable). Therefore, it should be able to differ from the existed one. Breeder arrange for variety improvement program. While, the produced variety could be Hybrid or Open Pollinated.

Secondly, if the proposal is approved, the breeder will start to generate for the lines. They can generate it through recombination, selection (Selfing plant 1 - 3), back cross and stress tolerance. Breeder can pure the lines while the combination are created (Selfing plant 4 -10). Here Foundation Seed (FS) as hybrid parental seeds are produced, while for the Open Pollinated variety, the parental seed is called Breeder Seed (BS).

The procedures and then continued with screening, retest, and advanced test. After all, the selected variety brought to the variety registration to government. As BISI has its own license, BISI do not need to make partnership to any university or institution to release the new variety. The new variety should be registered to the variety protection, so the new one will be claimed belong to BISI. BISI can release the new variety without registering it first, but other company can claim the variety to their own. That’s why, before releasing the seed, we have to register it to make a claim.

for me, getting a job in any company is like meeting the person I've been seen from photo. As we got a theory from books, and then trying to use it for real. Solving the problem in real world is more than just overcoming the problem on the paper but its real!
well, guys, that's what I feel about my job in plant breeding.
As I learn it from campus, I learn it only from books and lecturer.
I never did it directly, and now after dealing a job in breeding, I can meet the breeding jobs and procedures face to face.
And I love it a lot ... !

Farm Famz

Dear Guys, let me tell you about this family. Firstly, Thanks God for, once again, giving me the thing I ask You.
I got a job soon after my graduation. My job place was in Kediri, PT. BISI International Tbk. in Research & Development (RnD) Department exactly. My office was located in Kencong, Kepung, Kediri. I told everyone that I wanted to get a job close to my home and meet my family, it was true, but I have other mission, God Knows, and He was The Only One I shared with.
Well guys, I spent 1 hour time by motorcycle to reach this place from my home, that’s why I had to search for a place near here. I could not stay home. Fortunately I had and aunt lived there, about 5 km from my office.

Let me tell you about this family.
This family is the real farmer family. This family lived in countryside, with so large farm field around, even cultivated forest. And the best part for me is, they have their own machines, such as, the machine for peeling the rice outer layer etc.

That’s the cool family. Its like the American or Australian farmer (as I saw from movies and the story from some friends). But the field size is much narrower. In Germany, what is called poor farmer or small farmer is they who has the 50 ha or less, but in Indonesia farmer usually has 1 or 2 ha, and they are called peasant or small farmer.
Well, guys, I plan to go abroad to see how farm run there. I want to see the 'no-tillage' practical and see how they run for their very large farm area with view people. But the most thing I wana do is exploring the experiences and knowledge to be practice here, in Indonesia.

Plant Breeding

Yesterday evening, while waiting for the weather to get clear, I had an easy conversation with him. It was about plant breeding.

"What kind of crop you prefer to focus on?" he opened the conversation

"Anything can be eaten, such as watermelon, melon, etc." I said

"Choose the marketable one, especially that has international market"

"...and why? Can we do our research abroad?"

"I will have trip to India next month. Our company always try to work up to be greater and making new partnership with other country. We have our office in India, Thailand, China, Japan, etc. firstly, we have to see the weather there. Choose the area where it has similarity to Indonesia. And then, see what kind of product which is marketable in that country so we can grow it here, read the genetic, and generate the better one. The final evaluation will be done in the targeted country, so we have to stay there and doing the final evaluation"

Swimming

Go swimming guys, and you get your body health.
For beginner, you can try 'breast stoke'. It is a basic stroke you have to master before learning other strokes.

my friend got a swimming class every Saturday, so i joined her. but, in the following weeks, i could match my schedule. so i was changed. i went to swimming pool alone, but i met many people swimming there. I saw them swimming, and practice it. Some people taught me if they saw me could not play with the right stroke. and now i can swim with breast and crawl stroke.
now i want to master butterfly stroke because it looks good in my eyes, hehehe

November: New World, New Life, New Friends

Well, I feel my life running so fast after passing the final test on 2nd August 2011. I am a graduate of agriculture faculty now, with the title SP (Sarjana Pertanian) put behind my name.

Soon after having my final test, I applied for job in Research and Development Position in PT. BISI International Tbk. I didn’t have graduation letter so I used my transcript, fortunately they don’t mind about that.

The committee of recruitment came to our university and inviting the graduate student to come and have interview there. Some graduate students collected it several days before the date, but I collected it on the day. While I

decided to apply for BISI about 15 minutes before the interview. On 9th Aug 2011, I came with a sealed envelope contained application letter, resume and transcript in my hand. They didn’t mind.

The interview was run for about 30 minutes, and thanks God I could stay loose during the interview, although l felt my hands frozen. It was happen on 9th of August 2011. On 22nd of August, I was informed to come on the psycho-test in Jl. Ngagel Timut No.7 , Surabaya, on 18th of August, in Persona Prima. It was a special psycho-test institution.

Well, it was a fun test. I want to know the result, but it was not allowed.

After passing the Ramadan, and Syawal, I was informed to come in the last interview in BISI head office in Sidoarjo in 14th September 2011. the last interview was done with the people who will be our boss. If they dislike us, so we failed. There I met some candidates from Jember. I was the only candidate from The University of Brawijaya, while other candidate from UB had their test yesterday. Ya, because we applied for different position.

Alhamdulillah… I did! For the final test, I just need to have health-test. It covered photo thorax, hepatitis, and other test that I couldn’t figure out the name. I did it on 20th September in Prodia Kediri. Ya, because the health-test was done according to the area where the person came from. People said that if I were invited for health-test it means that I had been accepted. Alhamdulillah, I said I hope so.

I had waited for more a week, but I got no information. My three friends had got the phone call from Mr. Agung, the HR that they would start their job on October. I didn’t get any call, I sms Mr. Agung on 29th September, and he said that he would informed it next month because he found that there were also some good candidate. Well, I force myself to have a good feeling. I would wait.

I waited for so long, while I dint apply for other job, because I was optimistic for BISI.

I sms Mr. Agung again but he didn’t replied. I was lack of hope.

Well, had a bad history of health… my mother was passed away for cancer and heart attack, and my sister she got hepatitis 3 years ago. I probably got the disease. I remember that when I had my health-test, I had yet to get my breakfast, and I didn’t have sport for so long.

I was so worried, and felt that my dreams were upside down, this failure really upset the applecart! My idealism, my plan to work in Kediri for two years, upgrading my English and my understanding about plant breeding and agribusiness was vanished into the air…

I didn’t know what to do. I refused the double degree and lecturer assistant my professor offered. I was lost :(

I chat to a friend on yahoo. He got a good job and he offered me a position in accounting. I should try, he said!

Well, I change the whole plan. I sent about 15 application to some advertised and non-advertised company. I don’t care the job-place right now. I don’t care at all, I started to think about asking the occupation in UB Kediri.

This is my lack exactly, when I found my plans were wiped out, I felt my life was over…

Fortunately I could heal myself soon. I promised myself to turn oven a new leaf and keep optimistic. I could come to the destination through the other way….

Bismillah …

Well, it was word for word a surprise… on 7th October 2011 the HRD of BISI told me that I would start working on November! It was waww… thanks God, that You are The Best Playwright! Ya,it would start on November so I still had 3 weeks to prepare for everything and finish everything in Malang. on the same day, My lecturer told me that I would have my graduate ceremony (wisuda) on 29th of October 2011. Alhamdulillah... Thanks God…

November will be new life, new world and new friends. Every mistake I did before will be the best learning of life to work me up. Bismillah … one step closer …. May Allah bless this way ….

SYNGENTA CONNECTION 2011

Syngenta is one of the world's leading companies with more than 26,000 employees in over 90 countries dedicated to the purpose: Bringing plant potential to life. Through world-class science, global reach and commitment to the customers they help to increase crop productivity, protect the environment and improve health and quality of life.

Syngenta’s CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) programmed Syngenta Connection. The first program was done in 2010 in India and organized by Syngenta Singapore. The second one, which was also organized by Syngenta Singapore, was done in Indonesia in Malang city from 5 to 14th July 2011. Participant of the program were all students, they were 16 from Indonesia and 10 from Australia. The purposes of the program were to create any connection between Indonesia-Australia, Syngenta and farmers.

Participants were divided into 5 groups. Each group will go to different places in Malang and Batu for having farmer meeting. The meeting was done in Kepanjen, Dau, Batu, Karang Ploso and Bululawang. In farmer meeting, we had to deliver some points about pesticide: buying, transporting, storing and disposing. When buying we have to ask the dealer about the pesticide we need, make sure we buy the right pesticide, check the label and seal, and doubt for the cheaper one compared to the common price with the similar product, because it is suspected to be the false pesticide. When transporting pesticide form shop to home, you should separate the pesticide form other things, store is in different place. Make sure it is safe enough so that people will not play with it, it’s better to have a special box with lock for transporting. And when storing it at home, own a special place (better to have a special room) for storage pesticide and other farming stuff. Make sure it’s impossible for children to reach the place. And the important one is when you dispose the pesticide bottle: damage it before you burry it or just burn it! Make sure it’s clean enough. Even we need to wash it with water for three times to make sure no pesticide remains in the bottle.

Each group had three farmer meetings. The farmers used to being in farm in the morning, so that some groups could not have their meeting in the morning but in the evening or at night. We did some discussion in farmer meeting. Some questions were probably out of topic, but we could not refuse, that was a non-formal farmer meeting, we could not say ‘sorry, your question was not what we were talking, so we should not talk about it’. Fortunately we were assisted by Syngenta staff, so that he would answer it for some difficult questions.

After having the meeting, we guided them into the building boxes games. The farmers are divided into two groups then they would compete for building the storage box. After all, we gave every farmer a box, T-shirt, and mango or orange small plant. In the next day, we went to the farmer’s home one by one to check if they had already built it, put it in the right place and use it for pesticide, not for other use such as book storage or medicines storage. This is good, that Syngenta not only deliver the information but they also make sure their program running well and the farmer do their suggestion.

In the last day, we had a social work by painting the kindergarten school … so unforgettable!

That was a priceless experience! We worked together with Australian students, had very nice sharing and made real friendship. Well, we were really connected.

It's been so long from my previous posting, when I got the way to get signal for USB modem. The days came to pass sooner or later. As if things remain the same, although in fact it's changed. As the rainbow, my days are full of colours. Dark and bright, fast and slow, happy and sad, excited and bored, love and hate, rock and hip hop, smile and sullen face, crowd and solitary. I met new people, I got some new friends, and they are so care, I learn new method, I found the home to shelter, I want to practice, I didn't see my home for so long, I refuse my feeling (thing I never done before), I have been rejected for the thing I wishes a lot, I found the reason of some inexplicable things. I know what differ the things come from heart and just the feeling. I can understand more about love, about focus, about choice, about life, and about humanities, about mu obsession, about future, about living together, having
special relation, about decision, and I cried.
Thanks God, for everything, for everything, for the fake-sensation life I felt, for love and be loved, for real and unreal things you let me see. This life came as blessings, this life is amazing, this life is peaceful. Dear my Lord ... I surrender for You ...

How to get the signal for your USB modem

USB modem for internet is now spreading everywhere. It makes the signal of internet connection very busy, as the result the loading speed will be very slow. Or maybe you bring your modem to a village where the signal for internet is bad. If you find this problem, you can try this steps. This procedure works for GSM modem but you can try for CDMA modem.

Go to your modem setting, and find this step. Note that some modem have different procedures, so just find the network option:

Don’t forget to disconnect your modem first, and then go to

Tool--> Option --> Network

Find some options of network type:

Change your "WCDMA preferred" setting to "GSM only". People usually use CDMA signal for internet connection, but since it so busy or the signal is restricted, you can use GSM signal instead of CDMA signal for internet. It works faster and constant. Well, it works on mine. Just try!

STULA PART FIVE: LAMPUNG I AM COMING!!!

My roommate was Okta, Wita and Fanny. We would stay in Arinnas Hotel for 2 nights. If I didn’t false, I was in the room number 6. It was in the room of first floor. There was a large single bed, an international quality bathroom with large TV. That was the real hotel!

I had to take a rest. Tomorrow, we had to move on to GGPC!

In the morning when we had to move to GGPC, we found that the location of GGPC was so far from the hotel. The hotel was is Bandar Lampung, while the estate was in Bandar Jaya. It was about 100 km, almost the same to the distance of Malang to Surabaya. Well, the committee (TL) misunderstood about the location of the estate. We would visit the estate, but the committee thought that we would visit the office which was located in the city. Come on! We were from agriculture faculty! Lol, we had to waste 2 hours on road. Okay, that’s fine.

GGPC (Great Giant Pineapple Company) is international estate. Many of the GGPC people graduate from The University of Brawijaya. That was so long story, when it was opened as estate for the first time. It was just need about 10 years from zero to become such GREAT COMPANY! Well let me tell you the large of the area was about 33.000 ha. The land was reddish and loamy, dust, but very porous. The atmosphere was so hot hot hot!!! But I can feel the different when I was in Lampung. The hot of lampung was because of the sun, it was not same to the hot in Malang, Surabaya, Jogja, Jakarta, that was hot because of the high content of CO₂.

I thought it was only me who felt the great admiration for the estate, but almost all of my friends felt the same! No wonder it was called GREAT COMPANY OF GIANT PINEAPPLE. The pineapple had the larger size than the common pineapple we see in the market. They said that Indonesians doesn’t like the fruit, but they keep plant it and export it. All the people want to build their own estate right now! Hahahaha

Well, we found not only pineapple but also some livestock and some cassavas. It was used for diversification and the effort to practice sustainable agriculture. Well, GGPC was so cool!!!

We made crazy parties and as it was reunion. The alumni promise us to provide the information about the job vacancy there.

it was late when we say good bye to them with the inexplicable feeling. Everybody was happy, everybody was satisfied. We went back to the hotel with great dream!

STULA PART FOUR: LEAVING MALANG!

I have just got the lesson that we have to finish what we have started. STULA is one story I have started. although it has been so long time ago, i will finish it.

After some complicated debate, we ultimately chose Parikesit travel for our STULA. We made fast decision that we have to change our mind which was only 2 days after I felt something unfair (well I was the treasurer. Finance always becomes the problem), while the process was only one day. We got the little higher price, but it doesn’t matter as long as everything could be clear.
We talk to the chief, Mr. Yudo and tell him that we mean to cancel the X agent travel and turn to Parikesit. He was mind but he could agree to us. We met the manager of Parikesit, Mas Agus. At 8PM, the MOU was made. Alhamdulillah…
I started to manage the finance with the help of treasurer of every study program. Everything ran well until the day of leaving. We had three bus of Pahala Kencana. The driver had the experiences of driving to Lampung for about 4 times before for the same agenda, but different tour leader (TL). Bismillah. We started our journey at 12th July 2009 in the morning. We had three buses: Bus 1, bus 2 and bus 3. I was in bus 1. The first journey was BALITPA (Balai Penelitian Tanaman Padi) Sukamandi which was predicted to arrive at 13th in the morning.
At 12th night, on the road, I can remember the exact location, we got some problem that the bus 2 got the accident by the breaking of the window glass because of the rock. Someone told us that
it could be cause of some people or the wheel movement of other vehicle that moved so fast so that would threw the rock above. A friend got suffer in his head, but it was not serious. Bismillah, we continue our journey. At day time, we was little late, but it doesn’t make a serious problem and everyt
hing run well and hurried.
BALITPA had ever been generated to become IRRI (International Rice Research Institute), but the IRRI is now moved to Philippine. I didn’t find the exact reason for that. In there, we learned about the cultivation, research, test, marketing and the breeding. And of course the most interesting lesson for me was how to breed the rice. Waw, that was absolutely difficult and need the more patie
nce. Since the flower was so small and it was categorized as Kleistogami, so we had to cut off the layer which was called Palea (if I am not false). Just imagine the number of the flower! To make a hybrid of rice the special technique must be practiced, especially biotechnology. Male sterility take important part in this process.
Hmm, I was tired enough to focus on the explanation, lol… I was about like to sleep!
We leave BALITPA in the evening. The next agenda was Lampung… oh, I was so excited.
We passed Jakarta, Tanjung Merak, and arrived at Arinas Hotel, Bandar Lampung, after midnight. Hmmpphh…

i will say: Anggun C. Sasmi. Well, she is so Amazing. I knew her for the first time when i was in my first grade of Junior high school. i bought her cassette album chrysalis, and sing her song titled 'chrysalis' for my music class.
I felt agree to the lyrics and rhythm, and it became the first foreign song I sing, lol...

The answer “Yes, I think so” is not enough.
Language is the key to share all kind of information. People around the world communicate and share information by using language. The most important thing in communication is the understanding each other. That’s why the language they use is not only by speaking, but also writing, body language etc.

The most common and easy way to communicate is the use of speaking and writing as media of communication. Information will have the value when people can understand what is informed. Understanding the language that is used for sharing information will be beneficial for us.
Many developed countries use English as their daily life, English becomes international language. They release books, music, movies, tools and many things completed with their manual book that is written in English. To learn their culture, their science, we have to understand their language, English.
For students, understanding English proficiency will help them to understand the lesson they learn. Major Fields has some particular terms that are only understood by the engaged people. If the material is written in English, common translator will not work well on this material. Such in my case, literature in plant breeding is much available in English. So that breeder should understand English well to know or enlarge the information.
You will probably deny all of those mentioned reasons by the presence of translator. But, will you always be together to your translator? Syaikh Utsman, a Muslim Author said in Kitabul Ilmi, “Although I can’t understand English, I wonder myself learns it. Sometimes I feel it’s necessary to deliver something in English by myself because the translator will probably deliver the message imperfect.”
Understanding English will make us confidents to public speaking, deliver any argument, and build public relation.
Some opportunities that will accept you with the condition of your ability in English is in jobs, to make a deal with the businessmen, to work in marketing, you would rather say by yourself to deliver your passion.
No wonder English proficiency is necessary to make us a successful professional.

penemuan tentang AX7 ini jujur berhasil menggeser posisi Mike Shinoda yang selama ini SELALU nangkring di tangga paling atas versi Lina MD. Bukan menggeser ke bawah, tetapi nggeser ke samping, alias ada dua orang di posisi teratas, heheheh, yah itu karena dua2nya sama2 crazy, tapi mereka berada di jalur yang berbeda, jadi gak isa dibandingkan. Titik kecantikan mereka beda.
Well, people dengarkan penemuanku:

Sebelumnya, aku sejalan dengan dua lagu yang selama ini aku rasa jadi pendukung atas keputusanku dalam beberapa kasus, yaitu: white flag - Dido dan Tattoo - Jordin Sparks. Lagu-lagu itu intinya menejelaskan KARAKTER cewek yang keras kepala, taat prinsip dirinya, dan dia ninggalin kekasihnya buat meraih mimpinya. Tapi itu bukan berarti gak cinta sama kekasihnya itu, tapi mereka ingin menggapai mimpinya dulu dan gak akan nyerah. Dan masing-masing berharap cowoknya gak pindah ke lain hati, cos cewek2 itu akan tetap menjaga cintanya itu meskipun mereka pergi. Karena kepergiannya bukan untuk mencari hati yang lain, tapi untuk meraih impiannya. Coba simak potongan lirik berikut:

Beberapa hari lalu waktu keingat lagu itu, aku kepikiran klo dua lagu itu semuanya dinyanyikan sama cewek. Adakah cowok yang juga punya karakter kayak gitu? Atau apakah hal seperti itu tidak dipermasalahkan secara psikologis oleh kaum adam, cos kpergian seperti itu udah biasa kali ya, buat cowok, dan itu dimaklumi,, jadi gak ada gunanya bagoi cowok buat bikin lagu bertema kayak gitu???
Awalnya au mikir gitu,,
Hmm ada sih aku nemu satu, gak sengaja waktu itu lagunya kerispatih yang judulnya "memang ini jalanku", but kayaknya kurang tepat juga,, cos dia pergi secara tidak gentle banget! So, anggep aja gak ada dah.

Well, awalnya memang aku dengerin lagi A7X itu gara2 keracunan sama seseorang. Dan waktu itu gara2 kloleksiku A7X ilang semua, aku donlod lagi dan cuma dapat 4 (aslinya males mau donlod banyak2, lola bener waktu itu, hehehehee): Dear Gor, afterlife, seize the day, sama bat country.
Amazingly pertanyaanku kejawab setelah selama hampir dua jam aku cuma dengerin bat country sama afterlife. Dan penemuan itulah yang menjadi ledakan pertama katertarikanku untuk memperlajari lirik-lirik lain dari lagu2 A7x.

Semua lagu itu, keempat-empatnya menjelaskan karakter yang jelas dari seorang cowok: keras kepala, gak mau dan gak isa diatur, visioner dan setia. Lirik-lirik bat country secara tersurat dan tersirat menceritakan tentang karakter seorang cowok (banget) yang punya great dream di hidupnya. Waktu dengerin afterlife juga gitu. Songwriter punya filosofi kehidupan sebagai area dimana orang harus kerja keras untuk meraih mimpinya, dan keberhasilan itu atau masa dimana semua mimpinya, semua yang dia inginkan telah dia raih, dia mengistilahkan itu sebagai afterlife. Dan well, baca sendiri deh lirik-liriknya, dimana dia harus pergi meninggalkan ceweknya buat menjadi seseorang yang dia impikan, dan dia meminta pengertian dari ceweknya itu dan janji suatu saat mereka akan hidup bahagia di "afterlife" huhuhu…. Nah, lagu selanjutnya adalah dear god. Aku ingat banget, waktu itu aku dengerin dear god 4 atau 6 kali berturut-turut dan selalu nangis di bagian refrain.

Well, waktu itu emang aku lagi punya someone yang stay far away, but bukan itu yang bikin aku nangis,, orang ya, klo sampe nge'doakan orang lain, apalagi doa yang dilakukan secara diam2,,, huwahhh,,, itu tingkat ketulusan yang udah tinggi banget dah… dan nagisku buat itu. Cuma waktu itu aku gak pernah ngirim lagu itu buat someone itu karena ada bagian yang sedikit mengganggu.

Adalah kenapa dia ninggalin si cewek? Aku masih belum menemukan jawaban dari pertanyaan itu hingga baru-baru ini. Bahwa kepergiannya itu adalah untuk meraih mimpinya. Ketika dia menemukan someone yang dia cocok banget, dia harus ninggalin cewek itu for the sake of his dream, makannya dia sedih banget, tapi itulah dia yang visoner, makannya dia berdoa sama Tuhan buat sang cewekk,, huhuhu.. So sweeetttt!!!!!
Kepergiannya buakan sekedar pergi karena penghianatan atau karena apa, but kepergian yang punya misi!!!
Begitu juga dengan lagu berikutnya seize the day, hmm,,, lagu ini jelas-jelas nunjukin bertapa dia cinta dan setia sama ceweknya, tapi dia keras kepala, makannya dia gak isa nurut sama ceweknya. Well, diluar cerita-cerita yang bersambung itu, ada pesan yang ingin ditunjukkan sama songwriternya tentang "inilah gw"
hmm

Itu kegilaan pertama dan waktu aku menemukan penemuan kedua,, aku ngerasakan semakin gila dan semakin bergetar luar biasa!!! Getaran yang lebih hebat dari waktu aku pertama kali dan ngerasaing banget klik waktu dengerin breaking the habit, getaran dan pengaruh yang lebih dari kekaguman ngelihat hebatnya Mike dan chester memimpin audience di live concert nya waktu nyanyi a place for my head, getaran emosi yang lebih dari kegalauan waktu dengerin in pieces, lebih hebat dari jatuh cinta kedua pada pandangan pertama waktu nonton videonya new divide, ledakan yang lebih parah dari hebohnya terbawa emosi bleed it out, getaran yang bisa bikin bulu kuduk lebih tegang dibanding dirambatin sama crawling in my skin, well gila bener dahh!! Rasanya sanggup, nih mulut ngomong gila sampe ratusan kali buat Avenged Sevenfold!!!

The reason of listening to A7X again is the influence of someone, but when I listened to it, I learned it, again and again, then I found the amazing and crazy point of Avenged Sevenfold (AX7).

Good morning everyone,
Lets thanks God for everything.

I run for my research in Grati, Pasuruan. 4 days per week, so I have to stay over there. And I am happy to have new family. I have complete parents right now, mom and daddy; and I also have two young brother and sister. The oldest is about 10 years while the other is about 3 years. They are warm, kind and welcome.
Grati, ehm Cukurgondang exactly is quite unique. The atmosphere of nature and village is so strong. So large farming area and the road was not good enough for your motor's wheels. Cats, cows and garden behind the home, and family member who stay close to them.

Their culture, the food they eat, and well… I love them. I do enjoy stay over there.
I go to the garden at 7.30. I take some samples, and then observed it. I take a rest at 12.00-13.00 and then continue the observation until 15.30 and go home at 16.00. I go to Pasuruan on Monday, and back to Malang on Friday.

One day, when I went out to some places I saw many boys play outside, no girl between then! When I was home, I asked mom why didn’t I find a girl, so many boys. Mom just smiled. I thought about food. Was that influenced by food? So it will effect the pH is less lime? Uhmm… %*&$%?><
I keep my answer till mom said to Sita, her daughter not to go out in the day time because she is a girl. OMG, I understand right now. Girls is not allowed to play out, especially at day time. The boys are so dare to tease me all the way … lol, I just can laugh. They're just about 10 years! OMG…! Okay boys! Bring all of your friend, and I am not afraid! Ahahahahhahah….

Daddy's name is Ali, Mr. Ali. He takes responsibility in the office for gardening and multiplying the mango. Mom's name, ah I don’t know exactly. She introduces herself as Mrs. Ali. Well, I call her mom. And she dedicates herself, working at home, as housewife, to educate their kids.
They have two kids. The first is Fajar, a 10 year-old boy and the second is Sita, a 3 year old girl. Their happiness, peace of life and regularities makes me miss my family so much. They are all my family right now.
I wonder myself someday become a mother, having some kids in a peace home … hehehehee…
Well, that's "afterlife" verse of Avenged sevenfold heheheheee…
And now we are going to talk about my new famz,
I learn so many things. I see how parents play important part for children to build their basic characters.
Fajar loves painting and computer, but he makes mistake by forgetting his other duties. However, he have to learn other things too. Mother always gets angry to him everyday for the same mistake he does. OMG… just like a boy! And Sita, ehmm,, she is cute, she sometimes want to play with me, but it seems like she is shy, she just take a glance to me, but when I am gone, she follows me behind. What a cute girl hahahaha….
And food… ah, I love their food. They mix corn to rice, so it makes a different taste to common rice. Mom always cooks fish (my favorite too) and provide fresh vegetables. Well, the all kind of food I love so much rather than beef or chicken. So tasty!

I get new understanding to this point. This will explain the reason of why do we remember the song we learn when we’re three or five, we remember the lyrics of some favorite songs, the reason of why we remember biology and forget math, and as if those kind of things is sculptured in our memory so we can remember clearly.

The reason is we feel something when we have any interaction to those subjects. Happiness, love, impressed etc., but bored is excluded. Emotion will bring the information into our unconscious mind, the place of our belief system. So, when we learn something, we should involve our positive emotion. Unless, we still be able to understand the subjects, but we will probably soon forget it. To be emotive is needed for such cases.

Well, I have a pal. She is strong, smart, beautiful and sensitive. She has the charity to others, and she inspires me in every way.
It can be say in short word that i want to be like her.

One day, she came to my room and we made a simple conversation. She told me about the way of 'G' act to her. They were in a research team, but sadly G always distrust and accuse her for hiding the data. Well G had the personal problem to my friend.
My pal told me with tears, she complain about her problem to me...
I just then remind her about her sentences several days ago,
"Beware of your prayer. God will test you as your prayer. For example, if you ask God to be patient, God will give you problem to overcome, to generate your patience, and if you ask God to make you smart, God will give you difficult things to do. It such a test and admission"
I told her, that God was trying your patience.

after her leaving, I was thinking about something. I got the same problem with her: slander (I didn't tell you for this one) and mistrust of some people. I remember my prayer to God, that I wanted to be like her. Well, i have to pass this this problem to be like her. Overcoming the problem in her way. lol...

If i can conclude that it is right if you follow the actions of your idol, and then overcome the problem you face in your idol's way.
it can be say in simple sentence, if you want to get the admission in chemistry, you have to pass the chemistry test.
so the question is, do you have enough capability?
for me, its the best for you to be yourself.
Solve the problem, and find yourself be the one you dream.
God provides you the way closer to your desire. ^^

today i met the expert. he told me about occasion, breeding, business, trend market, and ideas.

WISDOM was prepared toward world culture meeting 2012 in Bali, Indonesia. I applied for Sahabat Wisdom program (Liaison Officer), and fortunately I was accepted. The event should be held on 8th to 11th, but the SAHABAT had to be ready from 5th November for some trainings of being LO. So I came over UGM on Thursday, 4th Nov.2010 at 8pm. I checked in University Club Hotel, UGM. Well, I felt so surprised that I thought I would stay in that hotel. The hotel was similar to the 3th star hotel. But in fact I have to stay in UGM guest house until 6th November. We would stay in the hotel in 7th Nov. lol, no problemo . I marked the guest house as hotel Arinas, Bandar Lampung.

Wisdom committee had chosen 30 people for being sahabat wisdom, 10 of them comes from the outside of Jogjakarta region. But, three people unable to come Jogja for Merapi reason. On 4th November night 6 people already came. We should be 7, but one person, who came from Semarang told us that she would come on the next day.

But oh, that’s just a sad that the event was cancelled for Merapi eruption. I think about how the committee prepared for that event. But we don’t have any power of that at all. I came over UGM on 5th Nov 2010 at 8pm, at 12.30 am, 6th Nov 2010, Merapi was erupted! Here are the pictures of the announcement for that WISDOM!

Cucumber is much consumed as food, medical and industrial needed. It makes the total consumption and demand for cucumber is increased all the time. As a result, plant breeding program of cucumber is directed to increase yield.

One company work for breeding program is PT. Clause Indonesia (PTCL). This company specializes in the breeding and commercialization of vegetable seed varieties for professional growers. This leads the writer to choose the location for place for being apprenticed student. The purpose of this study is to comprehend the procedures of preliminary and advanced yield test for hybrid cucumber (C. sativus).

The activities run by PTCL are breeding, yield test (preliminary and advanced), off station trial, releasing new varieties, product development, and seed packing. Seed production is worked by PTCL Thailand. The plant culture in breeding and yield test has the specific term, except releasing varieties preparation, off station trial, and product development that is cultured as the farmer in common.

The evaluation was done adjusting the IPGR cucumber series. In the preliminary yield test we got five populations that will run for advanced yield test, while in advanced yield test, we got only one population that will run for off station trial. The selected population was hoped to be superior variety that will lead the market.

I went to Bali on 30 September to 4th October 2010.
Out tour is sukowati market, Kuta beach and nice dinner on Krisna on the first day.
on the second day, we visited Tanjung Benoa, Ulu watu and dreamland.
on the third day, we had shopping on Jajan Bali, and Joger. the last travel we have is Lovina beach.

Kuta beach has so large area of beach. That was interesting to play surfing overthere. The reasing of mine to come there again is to play surfing, that i dint do it in this travel. we saw the sunset, but it seems not so clear because the sunset is hared by the Java island. But That was nice at all.
uhm, you can also play bungee jumping in Kuta. i want to play, but i didnt bring enough money... lol... next time i hope :)

tanjung benoa is the great place for water game.
you can even see me playing parasailing that makes me fell in love with high and freedom. just try!

in Lovina beach, you can even see the dolphin in the morning. unfortunately, i came overthere on evening. but no problem, i'd like to visit bali again :)

The 53rd IAAS World congress (WoCo) is held in Indonesia, from 11 July to 3 August 2010. World Congress is consist of two agenda, they are general assembly and seminar. The location of WoCo will be in 3 places, they are The University of Brawijaya (General Assembly), The University of Pajdadjaran (Seminar of Energy) and Bogor Agricultural University (Seminar of Food).

The Participants come from IAAS member all over the world. 1.1 Latar Belakang
Maranta arundinaceae atau lebih dikenal dengan tanaman garut adalah jenis tanaman tropis yang membutuhkan curah hujan 50-300 mm/tahun dengan kelembaban 50-85 %. Tanaman ini tumbuh baik pada tanah bertekstur gembur (lempung berpasir) dan subur dengan pH 5-6.5. garut dapat berproduksi baik bila ditanam di dataran rendah, pada ketinggian 60-90 m dpl, namun tanaman tetap dapat tumbuh normal sampai ketinggian 900 m dpl (Lukman et al., 2003).
Suriawiria (2007) mengamati bahwa di Indonesia, tanaman ini umumnya menjadi tanaman sela di kebun, pekarangan rumah atau di bawah naungan pohon besar seperti kelapa, sengon, jengkol dan peta. Meskipun demikian, umbi tanaman ini setiap saat selalu tersedia di pasar, namun tanaman ini tidak untuk dijadikan makanan sampingan seperti halnya singkong, talas maupun jnis ubi-ubian lain, tetapi menjadi pengisi syarat tujuh macam umbi-umbian pada saat selamatan tujuh-bulanan. Juga secara terbatas, kadang-kadang tersedia dalam bentuk tepung untuk pembuatan bubur ataupun kue-kue.
Dibandingkan pati lainnya, garut bentuk seratnya lebih pendek sehingga mudah dicerna dan dapat dijadikan makanan bayi dan anak penyandang autis dan sindrom down, serta diet bagi manula dan pasien dalam masa penyembuhan. Pengolahan garut yang telah dilakukan masyarakat dinataranya yaitu dengan membuat emping, keripik, tepung, jajanan tradisional seperti jenang garut, jentik manis, dan kue dadar. Fungsi dan kegunaan garut dalam perindustrian diantaranya untuk bahan kosmetik, lem, minuman beralkohol, di pabrik tablet garut untuk mempersiapkan makanan yang mengandung barium yang diperlukan untuk penghancuran cepat. Sebagai obat-obatan garut digunakan untuk mendinginkan perut, obat disentri, obat eksim, memperbanyak ASI, tapal luka dari serangan panah beracun, obat penyembuh borok, perasan umbi garut dapat dijadikan penawar sengatan lebah (Deptan, 2010). Sementara itu, di negara lain produsen garut dalam perindustrian memanfaatkan garut sebagai bahan dasar untuk makanan bayi dan dalam skala rumah tangga memanfaatkan tepung garut sebagai bedak bayi tradisional.
Filipina sebagai pemasok tepung umbi garut terbesar dunia, yaitu 95% dari perdagangan tepung tersebut berasal dari negara ini dengan memiliki harga jual rata-rata sekira 200 dolar AS/ton atau hampir sama dengan harga tepung terigu (Suriawiria, 2007). Di beberapa negara lain, tepung garut digunakan sebagai bahan campuran kertas.
Pemerintah Indonesia pernah mengembangkan budidaya garut ketika masa krisis moneter sebagai bahan makanan pengganti beras, namun upaya ini hanya berhasil pada tahap pengenalan tanaman garut sebagai alternatif pengganti beras, atau bahan-bahan lain yang berasal dari beras. Belum ada tindakan nyata dari masyarakat umum untuk membudidayakan tanaman garut dalam skala yang luas. Padahal iklim dan lingkungan Indonesia sangat cocok jika digunakan untuk budidaya Garut.
Indonesia juga memiliki wilayah yang luas untuk budidaya garut. Namun yang diketahui telah membudidayakan garut secara luas adalah perusahaan swasta di Malang, yaitu seluas 150 Ha, dengan hasil produksi sebesar 12,5-30 ton, atau rata-rata 20 ton. Sehingga, dari produksi yang akan dicapai, diharapkan akan terkumpul sekira 3.000 ton umbi garut yang cukup untuk menjadi bibit pada lahan budi daya seluas 2.000 ha, walau baru memenuhi luas lahan 1/9-nya dari program pemerintah seluas 18.000 ha.
Selain itu, tanaman garut juga telah dikenal masyarakat sejak lama dengan berbagai manfaat. Hal ini tidak akan menyulitkan produsen untuk mengenalkan produk garut ke masyarakat.

Exploration and Ex situ Conservation of Musa paradisiacal normalis

Indonesia has the largest biodiversity of Musa genus. By the fact, Indonesia should be able to export Musa genus product to other countries. Japan gave Indonesia opportunity for about two years to cultivate plantain or Musa paradisiacal normalis group which is known as Musa pisang tanduk, and then supply the plantain to Japan. But Indonesia could not do so because of the lack quantity and the low quality production. This leads us to arrange for any research to find out any superior cultivar of Musa pisang tanduk. This research will is done by exploration and then continued by ex situ collection. We will collect and grow the M. pisang tanduk all together in the selected area. The data will is useful for the next research, which is selection for high quantity and quality production. People think that they don’t need to learn other subject that is unrelated to their study. For instance, an agronomic student doesn’t need to learn business or economic subject.

Well, I don’t think so. I learn it and then I can think different and I have more reasons of why I have to create any project in agriculture!

Honestly, I used to get bad mark in economic study, but I was courage to take International Business and Trade subject matter. I do enjoy the lessons although I got so much difficulty in learning the slopes and the terms. I remember a friend suggested me not to take this lesson, but I kept it as one of my subject matter.

I get dare to take more risks; I know the world trade, and agriculture trade.

I know, I probably don’t have enough foundation to build a great palace. Even I don’t have a good design of the palace. But I will draw it fast, and I will build it fast. They will see that I can! You are thinking God of no consequence when you’re saying “I can’t”

I learn so many things...
I have to behave fair in managing something related to people in general, which is so varitype. I love this.
I remember the beginning when I felt so shock. And I remember why… I don’t regret, and I know that it was so uncontrollable. And I was so easy to feel like that…
I didn’t do anything in a whole month in related to my job. I got stressed when I have to manage my study field. I randomly chose subjects, and did my duties unthinkingly.
Produksi Tanaman Hias, ornamental plant production subject is lectured by the most is respected lecturer. My mistake: I forgot preparing my power point to present, so I just presenting my paper on my laptop and I were not ready. I prepared other material which had been passed.
I told a friend, and she advised me… “USE YOUR BRAIN TO THINK! Since I saw you’re so hurried. You didn’t even think whether it’s wrong or right. You know xxx? She has a very good principal. No matter how busy she is, her main purpose of being here is for studying! “
I kept in silent. And she continued her lunch.
This was what I forgot.

IAAS, that’s how we make it short.
God knows me very well, more than I know myself! He knows what I need. He creates a very nice plan for me. Nice than I plan it for myself, which is very hard to do.
I will probably is not able to join Kuliah Kerja Profesi (KKP), by being apprentice in any instances in related to my major field, which will be held in July-August. But I will probably start my KKP on August after WOCO ends.

Project department of IAAS LC-UB has another concept for VCP by having cooperated with AIESEC UB. However this concept of VCP is different with the existed Village Concept Project.
This short-term VCP is only done for six weeks. The location is in Kondang Merak, which is also the location for the existed Village Concept Project. The participant of this program could be form IAAS or AIESEC member. They will work as volunteer to the societies.
Kondang Merak is very beautiful virgin beach. There are only about ten families who stay in that area. Many of them work as fisherman for living. They go to the sea, do fishing traditionally by using net or traditional fishhook, and then sell it to the traditional market of consume it for daily need. Vegetables are less find. To get them, people have to buy it in other area which is far enough to reach; besides they have to pay expensive.
There is only one way to go there. It’s rocky in slope upward way. Maybe it’s the reason of why do people are have yet to find the location or not consider it as the aim for tour or for fun. And you can trust me; even you will not find the phone signal over there.
Our programs are making net for fishing, fishing (going to the sea), vegetable farming, and rabbit breeding. The participants will teach them about that kind of job so they must have the skills in related to those jobs.
Well, the participants neither come for work nor for apprentice, but they will volunteer for social job. They will guide or be involved them to those jobs.

STULA PART THREE: TOO SLOW…!

We were the committee, busy of final test of practicing. We almost forget about STULA. Even Rofiq was the only one (lol) who came on the STULA meeting on Friday 23rd May, when we had to discuss about the MOU. Well, I had class so I couldn’t come, I didn’t know much about others.

And I just keep relax till I got phone from Fortuna Travel (well, after getting the CP of Fortuna, I contacted the person to get more information about Fortuna Travel, as I told you in the presiding chapter. One of the agents kept contacting me to check our decision out). The conversation on phone happened on Wednesday (20th) or Thursday (21st) (I think…). The essence of our discussion was Fortuna wanted a definite decision about the travel we choose. He gave me the space until Saturday, and if we chose Fortuna we had to pay the cash advance for 30% of the total amount so it was about Rp 30.000.000,- on the day of the signing of MOU which was also on Saturday. I was quite shocked me, and it made me realize that it had been so close, but we prepared nothing. I said nothing to Fortuna, but yes. I contacted Rofiq to discuss about it, but he just said that we used Dunia Wisata. Well, if so, we had to move on! He showed me the MOU. Nobody cared, so I learned it at home. I said regret to Fortuna when he phoned me about our decision. Oh, darling, we had yet to have any money to pay…

In fact we were still so slow in moving. I asked Rofiq to invite the committee for meeting (well, Rofiq has the same position with Jimy and Ganda, they were all an the komting or their respective study program, but it seemed that Rofiq was closed to Mr. Yudo, so Mr. Yudo relied more on him). I told Rofiq many things we had to do!

About 28th May, I met Mr. Yudo to show him the MOU I edited, but he rejected it because he had to come on the meeting of his own business. He told me to learn the MOU thoroughly. He asked me the copy of MOU to put in his locker, because he meant to learn it too. Then I did. He reminded me to discuss it with Mrs. Anna as often as possible, since she was my partner in treasury. But in the following days, he never discussed it with me or asked me something about it.

In the meeting, Rofiq told us the Dunia Wisata meant to retire to become our travel agency because of our slow in making decision. Rofiq also told us that if we use Dunia Wisata as our travel agency, it would not use it’s own bus because of something I couldn’t explain. I was surprised. Oh, God! What happen with my STULA??? The all travel agency were retired! I knew we were too slow…
Oh, Please…

The committee discussed about it on the meeting. We agreed to set the cost of STULA about Rp 875.000,-. The payment should be done in the on June. We made the logo and buying some necessary and administration. The progress was reported.

Mr. Yudo and Mrs Anna was too busy to meet that I couldn’t find the time to meet them or invite us to come to the meeting, discussing about STULA.
I can’t remember clearly the time we –STULA committee—met Mr. Yudo to talk about STULA. We discussed about the problem, and then he gave us any alternative choice, using another travel agency that was different. That was Rahmat Travel, leaded by Mr. Tri. Mr. Yudo told me that Rahmat travel had ever managed the STULA before. Well, it could be alternative. And then we met for discussing about the travel we would use. And then we okay canceling Dunia Wisata to choose Rahmat Travel.

Meeting on Tuesday morning, 26th May, together with Mr. Yudo and Mrs. Anna, we agreed to work with Rahmat Travel. Mrs. Anna explained us about many things we had to do. Rahmat Travel, who was Mr. Tri worked as informer. He told us the prices of everything, included all the things we would need. He could lobby the restaurant and hotel, without setting the advance cash before. He said those things because he knew; they had trusted him for his experiences managing STULA to the same objects for 4 times. So, I had to bring billionth money as long as STULA.
Well, for clear… if I worked with travel agency, I didn’t have to manage all of the money by myself, because they would do it for me. I just need to pay them before the STULA running. But if I work with Rahmat Travel, in fact I didn’t work with Rahmat travel, but I worked personally with Mr. Tri, who is the leader of Rahmat Travel. He would show me the prices of everything and all the things we need. So I would manage the money by myself.
Just see! What would happen in the next is unpredicted!

STULA PART TWO: HOW DID WE CHOOSE THE TRAVEL AGENCY?

About 2 months before, we invited four travel agencies to present about their respective travel agency, especially about the facilities they offered. There were Guna Jasa Travel, Dunia Wisata Travel, Pari Kesit Travel and Fortuna Travel. Each travel agency had the soft and strong side. After presentation, I was personally inclined to Dunia Wisata Travel and Fortuna Travel. Dunia Wisata was skilled travel, having its own bus and interesting people and I like their advertisements and the way they offer their travel. About Fortuna travel, well… the presenter come alone and brought no paper to inform us about their programmes, and nothing else. But, it showed me the strength. He used the efficient theory, yes! Why must he bring many people to speak, to just explain us about his travel? Well, in his presentation it showed me his smart and his care. He worked in travel agency for not only raising money but also he loved it! It appeared on his way of presentations and the words he spoken. He also knew well about the area we would visit, but I was not sure my friends could see it. However the presentation he did was too general, had no enough power to make us sure and tend to his travel. But well, I would happily try to find more information. Just see! About the other travel agencies, Guna Jasa admitted that he had never visited Lampung before, so we wont choose it, while Pari Kesit set too high standard cost.

In the next meeting, we had to decide the travel by voting. I told people the strength of Fortuna compared with Dunia Wisata. In fact, they offered the similar progranmmes, but what differ them was Dunia Wisata had its own bus, while Fortuna had not. But Fortuna travel offer free of charge for docents and five committee. But it was a secret; I didn’t know about that until one of the agents told me about it. Well, ultimately we found Dunia Wisata Travel Agency for out STULA. Mr. Yudo told us to offer MOU to Dunia Wisata. And if they disagree for it, we turned our choice to Fortuna as the second alternative, or Pari Kesit as the third alternative.

Buds, it’s not too much if I said that the climax was begun!

STULA PART ONE: PREPARATION

I was one of STULA committee. My position was in treasury. I collected 133 participants’ money with fee per participant Rp 875.000,-, for the amount we got facilities, food, travel, hotel and administrations.

In the night before, I bought some biscuits, snacks, battery for my camera, cosmetics, and small travel bag. I went shopping together with Zahla and Canda, and also Vera who came after us. I shopped fast and arrived home at abou 8.30pm, then I had my dinner and after praying isya’ I did packing.

That was my private preparation. The real preparation had been started about 40 days before.

In fact, the STULA committee had been formed about two or three months before, and I knew that I was one of them.
Firstly, Mr. Agus Suryanto, as the leader of Cultivation Field Study of Agriculture faculty UB, chose four docents to become our companion. They are Mr. Yudo, Mr. Budi, Mrs. Euis and Mrs. Anna. Then we got one leader of STULA, Mr. Yudo, Mrs. Euis as secretary, Mrs. Anna as treasurer, and Mr. Budi who would manage our accommodation. As Cultivation field study of UB had three sudy programs, Agronomic, Horticulture and Plant Breeding, it was chose one student from each study program. The three representative students, who was called komting or the leader of each study program, would be liable to the programmes of STULA. The three and then recruited five students from their respective study program, included me. But even if I was one of them, I had never been invited to come to the meeting till my komting, Rofiq, that I became the main treasurer. I was fairly surprised. Rofiq asked me to become the treasurer who liable to students of plant breeding only, but in the meeting I was not come, he submitted me to become the main treasurer who would responsible to manage the all money needed for STULA. Oh, well… no problem. I had ever been a treasurer many times before.

I cant remember clearly, when I first time came in the STULA meeting, but I know, when I came, the concept had been fixed, especially the locations to visit. So I didn’t have any authority to change or complain, although I knew many students disagreed the location, which was too far, Lampung, so the money to append will be much more. But somehow, lately I knew why we should visit Lampung for it’s amazing agriculture! Something I will tell you in another part.

STULA is short for Studi Lapang or Field Study. Its not same with Field Trip which refers to particular study, STULA is purely field study. As one of field we must take, we run it in our semester holiday, which is 12^th to 18^th July 2009. We visited Lampung and West Java. Many things special in my STULA leads me wrote my experience.

FB-THE PHENOMENON

Its not too much that i said facebook as the phenomenon in Indonesia after friendster.
as the new user of facebook statistically increased.You may know that in 2009 the registrant of fb-thats how they are used to calling-- has reached about 4 million. It makes Indonesia become the country with the higest amount of FB user, try to compare with other countries in ASEAN... they're just about 1 million.
we see some similar sites are made, but it seems having no good respond.
we couldn't insist fb as it's pledge pledge of facebook, helps you connect and share with the people in your life, I heard many stories how people met their old friends...
However as its good for you... Just keep it up!

The event went successfully, although it was late for about an hour because of many participants came late. But it was not really matter. The participants came from IAAS, MACIA and AIESEC. Total of them were about 29 participants.
I was as the committee of programmes, take a responsible as games. I was not at the room, when the programme was started. I came into the room when the presentation was from AIESEC, the talked about their organization, about their exchange program. The next presentation was from IAAS which was don by Hafis, THP 06 and then the presentation about IAAS exchange program which was presented by Meidina THP 07 and her staff, Riza Agribis 06. After that we discussed about the theme, what do you know about biodiversity related to food, trade and energy today? The presenter was from IAAS, they were Rosi Sosek 06 and Riza Agribis 08 again.
We saw some of participants didn’t understand about the topic, since they came from different major fields, AIESEC was from economic society, while MACIA was from medicine society.
Each organization played their performance. IAAS presented the greeting, which was got from World Congress in Belaruz, crazy greeting, which was in fact has similarities with the greeting form MACIA and AIESEC. No problem! MACIA also showed us the similar greeting. While the AIESEC had quite different performance. They play music, and got us to dance together with them.
At least, the programmes went successfully.

When Love Comes

Life without love… is nothing, nothing at all. Well, maybe you just don’t understand that your life is full of love. God loves you, so He makes your skin can fell something, you can express your feeling through your mouth, you can take your juice by your hands, and many more… include your having of special one.
Love is great, it’s not only the one who always close to you, it’s not always the way of your parents always treat you, no! And if you thought so, you mean love narrowly…
I was… umm, I remember the time of when I had to choose what study I will take, and then I ask Allah for easy way of attending there. Then I got it, I asked Allah for good one, then he gave someone special…
I’m going to tell about him. He’s just different!
Everybody has different character, but some of them are weak, so people won’t see those differences. I did! I saw it, inside of him! And that was so amazing!
Well, the key of everything is just asking it to God. He’s everything… Ask Him about everything!
And when love comes, you will see… that everything will be sooooo… beautiful!

Up grading

We had up grading of BEM FP for period of 2009 on 16th to 17th of May, 2009. On Saturday, our programmes were on HPT room while on Sunday, they were on Songgoriti, exactly in a beautiful villa. On the 1st day, we did opening ceremony which was officially declared by Mr. Aminudin, PD III of FP UB. He told us about the meaning of the song Indonesia Raya, which could build our nationality. Reflecting the lyrics “…bangunlah jiwanya, bangunlah badannya…” (…build their soul, build their physics…)he told us that for starting we should build our soul, and then build our physics, just making plan before carrying out of taking step.
The next agenda was explanation about “KABINET PALAPA”—it was how our president called his BEM cabinet—by Pak Pres Adi. He told us about his vision and mission, and also the philosophy of PALAPA: PANJI KEBENARAN, LASKAR PERUBAHAN, and PANDU KEADILAN. He was also excerpt some words of RA Kartini, that “it needs courageous to do everything, whoever who don’t have it, he won’t win anything. That’s my pledge! Just go ahead! Everything must be started by the brave… courageous people win the three fourth of this earth!!!”
The next material was brought by Dede Suparjo, the ex president of EM UB in period of 2005. It was about commitment and work ethic. He told much about organization, team work, loyalty, the process of building a team, and many more related to it.
Well, the next material was that I had been waiting for, yes because we’re lectured by mu favorite, mu motivator… yes, who else… he was Mr. Lilik Setyiobudi. He lectured us about leadership, entreuprenour and management, the difference and the grey area of them. Just think out of the box! What a real amazing! I always agree with his terms!
The next material was about ESQ by Andik TOP, that was how he called himself.
About 6.30, we went to Songgoriti by the car of FP and one car that we’re rent. The next agenda was started about 19.30 or 20.00 WIB (GMT +7). It was like a sharing and simple joke, no game. We had been quite tired, and feel like sleeping. We went bed 23.30.
In the next day, 17th of May, we had out bond at a forest in Coban Rondo. The first game we had to make some groups for the anonymous game. But for the tracking we’re devided into two group, my group was named monster, lead by Frederik while another was lebay group, lead by Nicko. Oh well, we’re about 25 people. And this is the programme of PSDM—about human development resources. we went to Coban waterfall, but we just bought some roasted corns. We had been too tired to have fun over there. We arrived UB at about 3.05 pm.

It’s amazing that ultimately, I could have my own ‘thing’, which was better than before, well I’d named it osegan, the meaning was –that’s a secret! Well, another new ‘thing’ was stuff two, I named it oseganv2. Thanks Allah, for those and everything.
Right now I’m just thinking about what I should do? Ok, after being lame for many weeks because of some other activities, I publish my ‘report’ of my life, not too much if I said so.
I joined in some training, and being busy for my studies, becos of new system called SCL, student center learning. In my opinion, that was good that after many changing in the system of our education, this new system is the most applicable system. Our lecturers could allocate this system well, except just one or two. And for myself, I do agree with this system, so have to search for material before having classes. The problem is, I felt that taking 24 SKS was too much right now! Afpgh… but I have to work well!
In my home way, I met an old lady—about 50s, who told me the importance of morality for our progressiveness. She was a teacher, but I didn’t know what subject she was in, well, I was in hurried for go down.
She was old but so powerful. It reminded me to Bu Muslimah, character of the teacher in Laskar Pelangi novel and movie, and also that I read on Laskar Pelangi the Phenomenon, by –ah, I forgot the author! –That book told us that how Bu Mus was so influencing. Her aura, bring Andrea for higher education, and also her other students for better life! In many occasions of talkshow and seminar –which was starting after Laskar Pelangi releasing-people could see how Bu Mus was so powerful, and they make her as

Francien Herlen Tomasowa

She is my English lecturer. She has a Ph. D title but, well people… its not about her title, but about her.
I think, it’s not too much if I say that she’s a real great lecturer! For me, she’s so inspiring. She lectures us spirit fully, with all the heart and soul. She’s full and total comprehension to us all, as her students. Her way of speaking English and well grammatically, both English and Bahasa Indonesia, show people that she’s a sophisticated.
Her age is about fifties, with her short curly hair, and medium posture, she always be pep and smile on photograph. I like walking behind her, so I can see hear using sporty shoes and leaping up on the ladder. She has bubbly face so that her classes always full of happiness and excitement, and also her environment, I guess… she can make it live!
She arranged English material to us all and had her own method in lecturing, and well, I think no student ever complain about it.
She doesn’t tolerate for mistakes and laziness, as she has firm attitude, but she appreciates our effort so much. She makes us to love English so much! She’s busy but very responsible to us! I knew she has to give lecturing for many classes in several faculties of UB. And become the leader in one of study program in the faculty of languages and letters. I don’t much about her other business.
Yesterday, I had a quite funny incident at our English class. Lol…
Well, she used to make as simple joke at class, with her expressive face and sentences, but somehow if she showed us her serious face, no student will have the brave to insist her. She has that inexplicable power to hypnotize us all. Well, I called that time as “… heart exercising…”
Well people … it happened when our lesson was about practicing for being a moderator (our English lesson was prepared for presenting our experiment report in formal forum). We practiced the pronunciation by speaking the sentences following Mrs. Tomasowa. She got us to close our English book as long as that practicing.
My group sat in the front line. A friend next to me had some paper on his book. While speaking up I saw her noticed my friend, and then in the space she warned again not to open our book, but her eyes examined at my friend intently. Understanding that the warning was specially aimed to him, my friend showed Mrs. Tomasowa the paper. He told her that the paper was not the book opened, as she thought. She replied “… so, I was cheated by him!” –by showing as if the book was opened— She simply smile, followed by laugh of the students. Oh, gosh! Can you imagine! She rise her particular smile, so fantastic! You know, and this was what I called the magic!
Her funny expression and the cool and calm smile that appears her well spaced teeth. Well people, you know I couldn’t even stop laughing, especially each time I just saw her at glance! Oh, if I could show you her photograph, I would!
In the following oral practicing, I kept laughing and laughing, so did her, she saw me then she smiled. But she still be able to control herself, proved by she could still lead the oral practicing clearly. I tried not to saw her in order to stop laughing.
Well, eventually, she had got to go in time, because she had to go to somewhere for important thing.
She left the class by saying “… I love you…”, oh my lecturer… I love you too…

Workshop of Broadcasting

It was held on Saturday 14th of March 2009, from 8am to 4.30pm. The committees came from the crew of Oryza 107.5 FM Suara Brawijaya. Host by Devi, Agribusiness '07 the programmes went successfully. well it was an hour late becos the first presenter came late... oh, and so dis the invited guest. They came late. Some of them were the dean of agriculture faculty of UB and the leader of Social Economic field.
The ceremony was opened by the speech of Mr. Sumeru Ashari.

The first lesson was about what radio is, presented by Mrs. Deby (not sure abt the alpahbetic arrangement) broadcaster from Kosmonita FM. She talked mostly about radio, and her career.

The next presenter was "Radio broadcast as profession" by Abi Dinarta from hardrock FM. Well, He defined broadcaster or announcer as somebody who deliver something through radio, TV, etc. He also told us about what a broadcaster should have, such as voice skill, listening skill, news addict, sense of humour, character, discipline and review. Besides announcing skill such as intonation, accentuation, beat, mixing skill and addling. He told us what should do and shouldn't do as an announcer, i.e. not to come late, not to tell wrong information, etc.
He made us sure that a broadcaster could be our stepping stone for other jobs such as MC, reporter, TV presenter, actress/actor, public relation, event promotion, corporate communication, marketer, journalist, etc.
and the last of his slide was "Broadcaster is not about the voice, its very good air personality"

after having lunch and free time at 12.30pm to 1.30pm, the workshop were continued.
It was about the radio script, presented by Mr. Wawing.
He told us what to prepare before broadcasting. Yes, its the script. So, how to make it?
just remember, write the script for your ears not for your eyes. You should write as you would tell! This was very important! Esp for beginner, it had to be detail!
Some points were:
1) Keep It Short and Simple (K.I.S.S)
2) Easy Listening Formula (ELF)
3) You can change comma (,) to slash (/)
4) Change dot (.) to double slash (//)
5) Put the triple slash (///) in the last script or for giving the space.
6) Stress the name by dash (-)

So, read the material, understand, speak, evaluate, write down...
practice repeatedly, becos it will make perfect!

The last presenter was the most impressing for me! He was Fadilah Rahman Dilaga. He was a radio Journalist of Suara Surabaya. He defined radio journalism or broadcast journalism as the process of info production then announcing it by broadcasting.
Radio Journalism was story telling, which told people about some particular events in conversational.
The characteristic were auditive, spoken language, at glancing, and global. The principles of script must be ELF, KISS, and WTYT (write the way you talk) -the more detail has mentioned before-
while the element of news were news gathering, news production, news presentation, and news order. he also told us about some specific sign used in making script, and it was same with the preceded presenter.
Some product of radio journalist were copy (short news), voice (the report), packet (soundbite), and feature (that can be a documentary). some news programmes were bulletin, news insert, on air magazine, and talk show.
well, I asked him for how to make the art of speaking so we can provoke the listener softly.
He just showed me the way that I cant explain. I love this.

As if i have found the new power for facing my day...

Well, do you know that our favourite music genre describes our personality, our feeling, our style, and many much more?
I can comprehend myself in the time I loved alternative, punk, or other hard cores, and also the time I loved hip hop or R&B.

As I read on the articles (since it has been so long time ago, im not sure the time exactly, but I guess it came from Jawa Pos), anyone who like rock and also classical genre will tend to be creative, but doesn't seem to work hard. On the other hand, for pop and R&B lover, they tend to work hard, but ain't creative enough. For Jazz lover, ups... anyone can helm me to tell people?
well, however, don't worry, people... if you love rock, pop, R&B, classical or else just be yourself. you can be unique in your way.

for me, i ve just found myself don't like a specific genre, but just according to my mood. I guess, I love all kind of music atm.

Applying For Assistant of Climatology Practices

I will tell you how the assistant of climatology practices was recruited.

About a week before, the coordinator pinned the announcement, pinned together was the table each the registrar had to write their names by themselves. There were about 20 or less registrar, oh... im sorry, i forgot exactly...

At 4th March all of the assistants of climatology practices were gathered at room BP-2 Agriculture Faculty. They sat sparely in the student's seat. Their face seemed unpleasant and strict.
The participant entered the room one by one, by ten minutes duration per participant. My turn was the second, since my registering line was the second.
The participant were interviewed aggressively. they had to perform the way they explain the lesson to some apprentices.
It was interesting, being so nervous... I couldn't speak up clearly... lol...

Three adequate people would be chased, it would be announced the evening.

After having that wicked test, i had breakfast then went to my friend's home for doing group duties.

In the afternoon, i went back to campus and met one of my friend who had been a climatology assistant. She was one of the assistant who tested me that morning.
I asked her to tell me whose people who has been accepted. She told me some names...

Yaaaaayyyyyyyyy......!!!

I was not involved!
Both of Happiness and sadness were mixed.
being happy becos I probably wouldn't be able to dedicate totally my time for being that climate assistant becos of my busy activities, even i probably will be passive at all...
But I was also sad becos ... climatology was one of my favourite subject which i wanted to understand well. I want to learn reading the nature and symptom.

However I was sure, Allah had a great plan! Just keep spirit!

When i feel my mind in dark, i just waste my time doing useless, surfing stuff on web, managing my blog, and many things. MD is the short for my last name.
writing my name, i used to put it behind my first name, so it would be Lina MD.
I sign my every book by it, and also this site.
My friend, sometimes, relate it with MD entertainment, McDonald, or anything. I dont mind, no matter what they say, as long as its not an ondignity...
one day a friend relate may name with different thing. first time he knew my name, Lina MD, he was quite surprised, i didnt understand. he also told me that MD was the tittle he wanted so much, but still i didnt understand, until he told me that MD was Doctor of Medicine. oh, gosh ... i felt stupid!

What a great!
Just because -blank- was a real impressive. After joining -blank-, I was changed, being better of course.
One of my friend became critical, care, and sensitive. Others were confident and could be a good speaker. We learned to lead and to be lead.
The training was good. Many thought that -blank- community was slick. But well, I wont talk more.

10 hours at PRISMA training

PRISMA is short for Pusat Riset dan Kajian Ilmiah Mahasiswa or Research Center and Student’s Scientific Study. PRSMA is a student’s organization from agriculture faculty of Brawijaya University for students who concern with nonfiction writing.
There, they are taught how to arrange a scientifically writing, how to present it, team work, and many other things related to science.
In fact, I joined that training was just for my friend. She asked me to participate in PRISMA training, so I just came. And what I have got was so great you know!
In that training, this was held on Saturday, 29th of November 2008, at 7am to 5pm. We were explained its history, we were motivated; we learned how to make a good arrangement, to make a good presentation and how to present our idea.
Well, you may know that I ever felt so regret, since I couldn’t join PRISMA as committee, but after all I felt lucky for being participant that I could attend for all session, I could join the all games, and being motivated. I was so motivated you know!
For me, motivation was more than everything. It was a spirit, my life. Brilliant ideas would have no power without motivation. But, by motivation, we could find unlimited brilliant idea!
Being motivated, we would be aggressive, aggressive to find more and more information, to learn, to try, to practice, and to do everything.
I just… so thankful.
I wish I would reach my dreams.
But something bothering my mind. I felt so discriminated, especially at the last session, when the all participant was given the occasion to deliver their impression. The MC just let one person to speak up. And when I raised my hand, she rejected me, because I was a 2007-applicant student. Well, guys… That was unfair! That training was held for all agriculture student of UB, but the participants were mostly 2008-aplicant students. So I should have the same right.

Well, at the least… good job!
